About CivTechSA

Who We Are

The CivTechSA Program is a partnership between San Antonio’s Office of Innovation and Geekdom, a co-working space and leader within the local entrepreneur and technology communities.

We work with students, entrepreneurs, and the City to find real, impactful solutions to current civic challenges, all while investing in the future growth of San Antonio’s startup and technology communities.

We are dedicated to building a city of problem solvers and are actively growing the startup and technology ecosystems in San Antonio.

By bringing our academic and innovation communities together to solve civic challenges, CivTechSA will draw in and develop business opportunities and job creation, while students gain necessary skills for the future—ultimately building a dynamic tech-talent pipeline
in San Antonio.

Our Mission

We connect students, companies, and the tech community with the City to solve community challenges and grow civically-minded tech talent.

Favorite thing about San Antonio: Coming from the Washington DC Metropolitan area most recently, I love the way San Antonio has that family feeling where here is collaboration mixed with southern hospitality. I’m impressed with the authentic interest in building a better tomorrow in innovative ways that blend different sectors of the ecosystem.
